As of 2022, Israel Auto Tech has over 700 start up companies and R&D centers, every year about 10% new companies are founded in the Auto Tech industry. A Mckinsey report dated 8/19 stated Israel is on the road to become a global AutoTech Hub; citing Cyber and AI as leading strenghs of Israeli auto tech.
Many world leading Auto Tech companies have opened R&D centers and offices in Israel such as Geely, BMW, Honda, SAIC and many more.

With China’s 5 year plan in mind, promotion of innovation and technology will be the most likely focus of Chinese investments in the following years.IsCham, ViaMeshi, CIIH and “SZ Tech”, with the support of the Israeli Consul General in Shanghai and the Israeli Economic Consul in Shanghai, organized a unique seminar held on January 11th focusing on innovation, trends and technology in the Israeli Auto-Tech and the in China’s automotive industry.Representatives from the Israeli government, Chinese Automotive sector, and investors came to the seminar that was held at the China Israel Innovation Hub (CIIH). The seminar featured several lectures, featuring the Economic Consul of Consulate General of Israel in Shanghai Mr. Niv Hanan, Mr Tony Jin CEO of SZ Tech, and Mr Hui Rong former VP of R&D center at BAIC Group.

The second half of the seminar included a roadshow displaying 11 remarkable Israeli companies, Bright Way Vision, City Transformer, Cipia, Vayyar, Cognata, Opsys, Gauzy, Newsight Imaging, VisIC, DriveU Auto, CYMOTIVE. With the aim of introducing Israel’s innovative Automotive technology to a Chinese Audience. Ischam’s members presented on a wide range of technologies that could be used in the automotive field, from Chips to autonomous driving. The seminar was followed with casual networking between Israeli companies and Chinese companies, enabling further understanding, and inspiring collaboration between the two nations.
