In recent years Israel is mostly known as the “start-up nation”, most recognized for its innovation, especially in the Auto-Tech sector. Many world-leading Auto-Tech companies have opened R&D centers and offices in Israel such as Geely, BMW, Honda, SAIC and many more. No wonder Mckinsey's report from August 2019 stated that - Israel is on the road to becoming a global Auto-Tech Hub.

On May 16th, the Israeli Chamber of Commerce in China & ViaMeshi Association in Israel, supported by the Israeli Ministry of Economy and Industry and its Economic Missions in China, held a unique event on the topic of “ Israeli Auto-Tech meet Chinese OEMs & Investors”.
5月16日，在以色列经济与产业部及经济处支持下，中国以色列商会和中以丝绸之路协会联合举办了一场以“以色列汽车技术相遇中国车企&投资者”为主题的特别活动。
The First Keynote speech from Mr. Ben Haimi, Economic Consul at the Consulate General of Israel in Shanghai focused on the strength and significance of Israeli innovation & automotive technologies and the importance of Auto-Tech collaboration between China & Israel; Opening remarks from Dr. Iris Kastoriano, General Manager at IsCham pointed out the uniqueness and importance of the Israeli Auto-Tech industry to the global auto industry and of course to China auto sector; the opportunities of the two nations for Automotive cooperation and the amazing potential in this field especially in China.
活动开始首先由以色列驻上海总领事馆经济领事海本继先生致开场词，他重点介绍了以色列创新能力和汽车技术的优势和重要性，以及中以色列之间汽车技术合作的重要性；接下来由中以商会总经理Iris Kastoriano博士致辞，她指出了以色列汽车技术行业对全球汽车行业的独特意义和重要性，当然也包括对中国汽车行业的重要性；她还提到了中以两国在汽车领域的合作机会，以及中国在这一领域的巨大潜力。
