National Innovation Centre par Excellence, NICE, a comprehensive national technology innovation center approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People’s Republic of China, was jointly established by one municipality and three provinces (Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Anhui) that constitute the Yangtze Delta region. NICE was created to establish an industrial technology innovation ecosystem that integrates research institutes, innovation resources, and industrial needs throughout the Yangtze Delta region.
长三角国家技术创新中心是由国家科技部批准、沪苏浙皖（长三角区域）合作共建的综合性国家技术创新中心。长三角国家技术创新中心旨在建立一个整合长三角地区研发载体、创新资源和产业需求的产业技术创新生态系统。
Under NICE, platforms developed by the Jiangsu Industrial Technology Research Institute, JITRI are now extending to the Shanghai Yangtze Delta Innovation Institute, SYDII in Pudong New Area, Shanghai.
长三角国家技术创新中心目前已经由江苏省产业技术研究院（JITRI）这个运作实体扩展至位于上海浦东新区的上海长三角技术创新研究院（SYDII）。
NICE has 80+ research and industry institutes under its wings, focusing on Bio-med, Energy and Environmental Protection, Equipment and Manufacturing, Information and Communications Technology, Advanced Materials, and more than a thousand private and public listed companies, 10000 PhDs and an annual budget of USD300M. Meanwhile, NICE also has set up 200 joint innovation centers by closely cooperating with top enterprises in vertical business within the Yangtze Delta region. Besides, NICE has established strategic partnership with 60+ domestic and 70+ international universities and research institutes, setting up 7 overseas representative offices and incubators all around the world.
长三角国家技术创新中心旗下拥有80多个研发载体，专注于生物医药、能源与环保、装备与制造、信息与通信技术、先进材料五大领域，以及1000多家私营和上市公司，拥有10000名博士，年度预算达3亿美元。同时，长三角国家技术创新中心还与长三角地区细分领域的龙头企业紧密合作，目前已建立200个企业联合创新中心。此外，长三角国家技术创新中心与60余家国内和70余家国际大学和科研院所建立了战略合作伙伴关系，并在全球设立了7个海外代表处和孵化器。
The role of NICE acts as a test bed for a new system of research management designed to prime the pump of industrial innovation. In the future, NICE will continuously offer a favorable climate for innovation and entrepreneurship, build an innovation ecosystem that is conducive to R&D and commercialization of industrial technologies and grow into a gathering place for major basic research achievements.
长三角国家技术创新中心是科技体制改革的试验田，旨在推动产业创新。未来，长三角国家技术创新中心将继续为创新创业营造良好氛围，构建有利于产业技术研发和商业化的创新生态系统，成为重大基础科研成果的集聚地。
