Nanosono developed a revolutionary antimicrobial platform that enables broad spectrum protection against bacteria, viruses and fungus.

Antibiotic-resistance bacteria AKA Super-bugs, is a major health concern which is causing the death of millions every year. The commonly used antimicrobial solutions are aiming to tackle this challenge, but present limited efficacy, high toxicity and short-lasting effect. Through the years, the number of infections related to antibiotic-resistant bacteria increased dramatically.

The Israeli based nanotech company, Nanosono, has developed a game-changing antimicrobial platform that enables the elimination of harmful super-bugs in efficient, permanent and safe way. This unique technology, called QUACTIV, can be embedded in a various industrial and medical application providing bacterial elimination, especially in high traffic area when cross contamination can occur.

The company platform has been proven in eliminating 12 millionbacteria just in a few minutes. The laboratory data showed, that QUACTIV is highly effective against wide range of superbugs, viruses and fungus. Among the species that were tested: Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MARSA), Klebsiella Pneumoniae, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Vancomycin-resistant enterococcus (VRE), Cut bacterium acnes, Candida Albicans (fungus), Aspergillus Brasiliense’s (mold) as well as viruses and fungus.

 

公司表示,QUACTIV技术的独特之处在于其对于杀菌技术的颠覆性。不同于其它杀菌措施,该技术的抗菌原理并不依赖于重金属离子的浸出,而是采用具有高度化学稳定性、热能稳定性的亚微米半导体复合材料。这种材料有利于释放活性氧(ROS),并与细菌膜发生静电作用,通过破坏其菌膜使细菌胀破死亡。

The company says that what unique about QUACTIV technology is its revolutionary mode of action. Unlike other antimicrobial solutions, QUACTIV mechanism of action is not based on leaching of heavy metal ions. It utilizes a highly chemically and thermally stable composite of submicron semiconductors. This unique composite enables the generation of Reactive Oxygen Species and electrostatic interaction with the bacterial membrane, inducing a disruption in the microorganism’s permeability, which causes the microbe to swell and die.

This proprietary new platform preforms multiple skin-care function such as antibacterial, anti-fungal, antimycotic, anti-acne and wound healing effect.
