The Israeli based nanotech company, Nanosono, has developed a game-changing antimicrobial platform that enables the elimination of harmful super-bugs in efficient, permanent and safe way. The laboratory data showed, that QUACTIV is highly effective against wide range of superbugs, viruses and fungus. Among the species that were tested: Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MARSA), Klebsiella Pneumoniae, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Vancomycin-resistant enterococcus (VRE), Cut bacterium acnes, Candida Albicans (fungus), Aspergillus Brasiliense’s (mold) as well as viruses and fungus.

The company says that what unique about QUACTIV technology is its revolutionary mode of action. Unlike other antimicrobial solutions, QUACTIV mechanism of action is not based on leaching of heavy metal ions. It utilizes a highly chemically and thermally stable composite of submicron semiconductors. This unique composite enables the generation of Reactive Oxygen Species and electrostatic interaction with the bacterial membrane, inducing a disruption in the microorganism’s permeability, which causes the microbe to swell and die.
