Environmental pollution, climate change, and the high price of fossil fuels are all worldwide problems. Sustainable energy, renewable energy, and storage energy are the needed solutions. If the world aims to attain 100 percent renewable energy, China is a vital factor that cannot be ignored.
环境污染、气候变化和化石燃料价格过高都是全球性的问题。面对这样的问题，可持续能源，可再生能源和储存能源是最佳解决方案。如果想要达到使用百分百可再生能源的目标，中国在当中发挥的作用极其重要且不容忽视。
As one of the largest importers of energy, the second largest economy in the world, and the biggest population in the world- China currently consumes a high rate of fossil fuels. The problem is, that while the price of fossil fuels is increasing, access to it is even more challenging. China fully understands the situation and certainly started taking steps on the matter.
作为全球最大的能源进口国之一、世界第二大经济体和全球人口最多的国家，中国目前消耗化石燃料的比率很高。虽然化石燃料的价格正在上涨，但比起这个问题更严重的是获取化石燃料的难度也在逐渐增大。中国对此情况有充分的认识，当然，也已开始采取措施应对。
Recognizing this issue as a global challenge in the upcoming years, President Xi Jinping made a pledge at the United Nations in September 2020 for the world’s second-largest economy to reach carbon neutrality by 2060. Analysts report that China will have to deliver that promise a decade earlier if the world wants to switch to 100 percent renewable energy.
意识到能源问题将成为一项全球性挑战，中国国家主席习近平于2020年9月在联合国大会上宣布中国作为世界第二大经济体，将在2060年前实现碳中和。有关专家分析说，如果全球想要转向使用百分百可再生能源，中国将必须提前十年兑现这一承诺。
China is already acting to deliver its promise. Developing Green Energy is one of the major targets on China’s current 5-year plan. Accordingly, many budgets, investments, grants and focus of the local government are allocated to this purpose. Working on storage energy, installing infrastructure for renewable energy all around the country, installing solar panels on the roof of the buildings, and rising solar farms and renewable energy stations all around China.
中国已经为兑现承诺开始采取行动。发展绿色能源就是十四五规划的一个主要目标。相应地，许多地方政府的预算、投资、拨款和重心将转移到此。为了储能，中国在全国范围内建设可再生能源基础设施、在建筑物顶部安装太阳能电池板和设立太阳能收集站以及可再生能源站。
China and the rest of the world are already creating and using renewable and sustainable energy, but to truly succeed in switching to 100 percent renewables, we must know how to store energy.
