China is attempting to reach carbon neutrality by 2060. Countries around the globe are experiencing extreme weather at a higher intensity, a higher frequency, and affecting people on a larger scale. China is no exception as they are currently experiencing one of their hottest summers of the century. Over the past decade, China has been steadily increasing its clean energy resources by utilizing hydro, wind, and solar energy and decreasing its fossil fuels. In 2005, wind and solar energy were not yet utilized in China, and in 2021 these two energy sources make up 6% of China’s primary energy consumption. China is slowly converting its energy sources to cleaner consumption to create a positive environmental impact.

Additionally, China is constantly looking for clean energy technology to decelerate climate change and reach net zero carbon emissions. China is generating various companies to reach their environmental goal including the global solar energy company Sungrow, known as 阳光电源in China. IsCham’s member – Sungrow is operating successfully in Israel utilizing its renewable hydrogen production technology to create a greener society.
此外，中国正不断寻求清洁能源技术，以减缓气候变化的影响，实现净零碳排放。中国正助力多家公司实现其环境保护目标，其中包括全球太阳能公司 Sungrow（中文名为“阳光电源”）。作为中国以色列商会（IsCham）的会员，阳光电源公司凭借其可再生氢气生产技术在以色列成功运营，为创造一个更环保的社会做出贡献。

IsCham has also assisted the expansion of various Israeli companies, in the field of agriculture and green energy, to expand to China. Vertical Field, ROTEC/AST, and Netafim are all IsCham members that have successfully found their footing in the Chinese market.

Vertical Field is an Israeli company that developed a new farming technique to grow produce vertically in cities, which saves both time and energy in the agricultural production process. Although not a green energy company itself, Vertical Field assists in reducing energy consumption in the agricultural production process, creating a greener environment.

Green energy businesses are encouraged to work with China due to their favorable tax system which provides subsidies, tax breaks, and grants to companies related to green energy, environmental protection, and pollution control.

China also encourages start-ups related to environmental protection and green energy. Chinese financial institutions are advised to issue these businesses with favorable loans and investments to help environmental projects get off the ground.

Netafim is another IsCham member and an Israeli drip irrigation company that has implemented its methods and technology to improve China’s agriculture and create greener and more efficient agricultural methods. Netafim is one of many companies that have received help from local governments to implement their systems in the country.

China is constantly looking for new technology around the globe and is welcoming to foreign businesses, especially in the environmental sector. China’s carbon-neutral goal creates a need for new technology in the green energy market and has developed various incentives for green energy startups within the country to help reach this goal.
