2019年12月22日，中国以色列商会与北京天悦学校举办了一场庆祝犹太光明节活动。来自中国和以色列的朋友们欢聚一堂，共同庆祝这一传统盛会。
On December 22nd 2019, a beautiful Hanukkah event was held at the JOY EL International Academy in Beijing. The event had the goal of bringing Chinese and Israeli communities together for a night of traditions and celebrations, and it did exactly that.

光明节庆祝活动在中国以色列商会尤瓦尔会长的精彩致辞后拉开序幕。尤瓦尔会长强调，光明节是一个充满希望与奇迹的节日，象征着人与人之间的团结——个人的力量是微小的，只有汇集在一起才能形成强大的合力，正如那点点烛光，汇聚在一起，才会照亮整个世界。
The night began with a speech by IsCham Chairman, Yuval Ben Sadeh. In his speech, Mr. Ben Sadeh talked about the symbols and meanings of Hannukah. Mr. Ben Sadeh talked about how Hanukkah symbolized the unity of people, and symbolism was clear at the event.

随后，北京天悦学校创始人王君瑛女士致辞，作为中国以色列商会长久以来的支持者，王君瑛女士对以色列怀有深切的热爱之情。以色列于她而言，是人生的指路明灯。作为教育从业者，王君瑛女士对于光明节和教育的关系有着独到见解：光明节חנוכה的词根与教育 חינוך一样，在犹太思维中，教育是要点亮世界的，犹太教育的另一大特点，是关注老师自身的培养和自我成长，同时，又利用引导式和体验式的教学让学生们在课堂能够得到心灵路程的体验，体验到合作、创造和批判性的思考沟通。而不是一味地受到知识的灌输。孩子从小就接受能够自由的创造的教育的，能够进行深刻的哲思，正式这样的教育理念，使得以色列能够成为创新的国度。
After this speech, Mrs. Emma Wang, Founder of the JOY EL International Academy, spoke about how important this holiday was, and how Israel has made a positive impact on her life.

以色列航空公司中国区总经理黄芸女士欣喜宣布，北京—特拉维夫波音787-8梦想客机于12月22日当天完成首航。此外，以航也将全新推出“以航假期”主题教育品牌，旨在为孩子提供以色列深度游学课程，深度了解以色列的文化和生活。
In the final speech of the evening, Helen Huang – Representative of Israeli Airline El AL, introduced a new plane that has began travelling from Tel Aviv to Beijing. The 787-8 Dreamliner off a state of the art, modern aircraft, with the first one landing in Beijing on the 22nd of December, the same day which marked the beginning of Hanukkah.

Then came the famous lighting of the candles. Ariel Briskin, General Manager of IsCham, Yuval Ben Sadeh, Emma Wang, and Helen Huang, the EL AL representative, all lit candles to show unity and embraced the spirit of this special holiday.

期间，哈辉女士以惊艳的嗓音向观众演唱了犹太传统歌曲。北京金灯台合唱团以及中以嘉宾共同合唱以色列国歌。
Mrs. Ha Hui, then showcased her stunning vocal talents to a rendition of “Hallelujah.” This was followed by a choir who sung traditional Hanukkah songs, and Mr. Ben Sadeh, Mrs. Wang, and Mr. Briskin even joined them of stage for a memorable performance.

观赏精彩的表演之后，所有来宾享用美味的以色列传统美食。自助餐包括法拉费、披塔饼、鹰嘴豆酱、犹太薯饼和甜甜圈。
Finally, all guests and organizers were treated to a delicious buffet of Israeli foods. The buffet consisted of falafel, pita bread, hummus, and sufganiyot.

正如拉比所说：光明节不是纪念两千多年前以色列人在耶路撒冷抵抗希腊入侵者的那场以少胜多的战绩，而是为了坚定信念，用光明来驱赶黑暗，激励所有人出黑暗入光明。
Overall it was a special event that IsCham, The JOY EL Academy, and guests of the event will not forget anytime soon. As Mr. Ben Sadeh stated in his speech, “Hanukkah is a holiday of new hope and miracles.” It is clear that it is currently a special time in China’s relationship with Israel, and the Hanukkah event symbolized exactly that.
